醫學新知╱死而復生？新技術有望暫停死亡過程　實現復甦 Nov 1st 2013, 23:22 〔大陸新聞中心╱綜合報導〕生與死的界限可能沒有我們曾經想像的那麼分明。現在，醫學專家稱，生命復甦領域的科學發展已經可以使人在心臟停止跳動數小時之後「復活」過來——即使他們已經被宣布死亡。「從歷史上，當一個人的心臟停止跳動，呼吸停止，無論再從什麼角度考慮，他們就是死了」，紐約州立大學危重病急救醫學助理教授薩姆·帕尼亞(Sam Parnia)說，「你對此無能為力。」 (NOWnews今日新聞)
